OrangePixel has released the first episode of an epic mobile action adventure trilogy, Timecops.

Apparently developed using console games as a model, Timecops includes story-driven, character-led gameplay and strong cinematics. As a Timecop Agent your mission is to discover exactly what's going on at a secret army base location.

"With Timecops we wanted to do a big console like game for mobile phones, obviously you can't really do that, but we gave it a pretty good try anyway," says OrangePixel CEO Pascal Bestebroer. "We included interaction with non-playable characters, a great story and some fairly extensive narrative, and even added a console style cover-system! I'm pretty sure this is one of our best games up to now, and we have bigger things planned using our new GRiMM engine for mobile games".

We're pretty sure this is nothing to do with the '90s Van Damme movie, but it still sounds pretty exciting. Hit 'Track It!' now to find out what happens with Timecops in the future.

There's also a free beta version to try out on the official webpage and you can check out the gameplay trailer below.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
