Com2uS releases fast action, weapon-focused iPhone RPG Third Blade

Continuing to level up in the action RPG genre, Korean mobile publisher Com2uS has released Third Blade.

It's a fast hack 'n' slash scroller that gets its name from the three ways of handling weapons - a rapid-fire dual-wield; safer but slower one-handed blades; and very slow, very powerful two-handed blades.

Each unique weapon in the game also comes with different skills attached, while your combo gauge enables more options in terms of using your weapon's signature attacks.

Time to accessorise

As you progress through the game, you get to level up your weapon by buying upgrades, as well as new skills that you can use in battle.

Of course, this isn't an RPG in the thoughtful style of Final Fantasy, but if you like levelling up mixed with twitch gameplay, it's worth checking out.

Third Blade is out now for iPhone and iPod touch, priced $2.99, €2.39 or £1.79.
