The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is back, as teaser website and social channels go live
  • The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has emerged from a period of quiet with new social channels
  • A new teaser site is now live and you can view previously released trailers on the Youtube channel
  • We still don't have a proper release date nailed down, but expectations are sometime this year

When it comes to upcoming launches too often we have those that don't manage to make it to release. Fortunately, today's subject isn't one of them! As The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin emerged from the cold with the release of a new teaser site and the opening of new social channels.

For those not in the know, The Seven Deadly Sins is a popular anime and manga series that focuses on the titular seven warriors; after being falsely accused of a crime they didn't commit, they go into hiding, only to emerge once more to save the kingdom that exiled them.

The Seven Deadly Sins already has a presence on mobile, of course, with Grand Cross and the Seven Deadly Sins: Idle spin-off. But Origins promises to offer something on a scale not yet seen for the series, with wide open 3D environments to do battle in and massive enemies to duke it out with as you delve into an all-new narrative.

Unfortunately, the one thing we don't have on the official channels is the most recent trailer that premiered for G-Star 2024. But regardless there's not much there that can't be seen in what's already uploaded. However, the decision to open these new social channels certainly suggests that the purported 2025 release date for Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is very feasible.

Ideally what we'll see soon is another, fresher, trailer that reveals a little bit more about a potential release window and how the game has developed in its relative silence over the last few months.

In the meantime if you want to stay Ahead of the Game with new releases why not check out our regular feature of the same name? This week, Catherine digs into hack 'n slash Lovecraftian-inspired dungeon crawler Dungeons & Eldritch to see if it's worth a look.
