The Seashore was just funded for Nintendo Switch, and it looks remarkable

Boomerang Games’ The Seashore just reached its funding goal on Kickstarter with 6 days to spare. That makes one more game to add to the ol’ watch list. The Seashore will be coming to Nintendo Switch first and foremost, because the developers feel the game’s co-operative controls are best suited for the device.

The Seashore is a post-apocalyptic Metroidvania set in a fantasy world that is both parts grim and beautiful. You and a friend play as the two main characters, Gunman, a gunslinger, and Spark, a skilled swordswoman, each of whom possess starkly different abilities. You’ll have to work together and make the most of your differences to make it to the fabled, titular Seashore.

The game certainly looks interesting so far, and we’re interested to see how the co-op gameplay shapes up. While the game is now funded, there’s no word on a release date just yet, so stay tuned.
