The Puzzle Maker: Cebba's Odyssey pits you against your erstwhile mentor to accomplish their trials

When it comes to concocting and solving puzzles, they're almost one and the same. After all, you need to understand the psychology of someone trying to solve a puzzle to know how to make one that's fun, not just frustrating. But how do you get to learn those skills? Well, it might be a little less magical in real life than what you experience in The Puzzle Maker: Cebba's Odyssey.
The Puzzle Maker: Cebba's Odyssey puts you in the shoes of one of the titular puzzle-maker's apprentices. While she's been seeking a successor for years, Cebba's increasingly demanding trials have driven away everyone but you. You'll have to take on her best creations while figuring out exactly why she seems to be driving others away.
Cebba's Odyssey's main gameplay, unsurprisingly, revolves around the puzzles she creates. You'll be shown a 14x14 grid populated by heroes, monsters, obstacles, traps and more. Your job is to use the single move that each hero is granted in order to solve the puzzle and complete the stage.
Cebba's Odyssey will boast over 200 levels at launch, with a Creator mode that lets you take on levels made by other players, or, if you're feeling creative, design your own. It's set to come to Steam this September while being on track for release for mobile in 2025, so watch this space!
