It's been a bumpy ride for The Other Brothers.

Developer disputes
and failed Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns have threatened to scupper Tobgame's handsome pixel-art platformer, to the point where we weren't even sure it would see the light of day.

Thankfully, we can now officially confirm that The Other Brothers has, like all good platforming heroes, overcome all obstacles and will land on iPhone and iPad in March.

As we discovered in our hands-on with The Other Brothers, the game is a modern take on the 16-bit platformers which developers - and thousands like them - grew up playing.

In The Other Brothers, you assume control of a pair of plumber protagonists (sound familiar?), who must jump, double-jump, and jump again through a series of expansive levels.

These levels are not simple left-to-right corridors, however. Expect to explore all directions of the compass if you intend to find your way to the exit and rescue the princess.

You'll be able to download, and then explore, The Other Brothers when it goes live on the App Store next month.
