Ubisoft is bringing next-gen console racer The Crew to mobile as The Crew Road Empire

Ubisoft is publishing its online driving game The Crew on next-gen consoles and PC in December. But it's also bringing the game to mobile under the name The Crew Road Empire.

As you might expect, this is not the exact same The Crew experience as console and PC players are getting. The gist of the game remains but has been compacted into a more mobile friendly design.

In it, you manage your own 5-10 Motor Club with the aim of making your crew rich. You do this by taking on and completing contract missions.

These are a little shady, involving transporting goods and people across America, meeting your client's demands.

If you perform well, you'll gain money, more cars, and your reputation will spread. This opens up more missions in new areas of the US.

While doing this, you'll also need to place key members of your crew in strategic points in US cities. You'll also want to customise and fine tune your vehicles.

Currently, The Crew Road Empire has been soft-launched in the New Zealand App Store. So you can download it for free if you have the right iTunes account.

Otherwise you'll have to wait until it is launched globally. Hopefully, Ubisoft is planning to release Road Empire alongside The Crew this coming December.
