Summoners War kicks off its newest collab with Tekken 8 as update goes live
And look who's taking centre stage...

- Summoners War: Sky Arena is kicking off its collab with Tekken 8
- Fans can grab characters like Hwoarang, Jin Kazama, and a free five-star Heihachi Mishima
- A new Event Dungeon will also be available alongside a new minigame set
Today, Summoners War: Sky Arena is kicking off its highly anticipated collaboration with the hit fighting series Tekken! Now, you'll be able to get your mitts on a variety of fighters from the latest entry, Tekken 8, and even enjoy a new event dungeon featuring plenty of inspiration taken from the series.
Those characters appearing include all your favourites, with Jin Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Nina Williams and Hwoarang all joining the roster. And it wouldn't be something remotely Tekken-related if we did have the appearance of ol' Heihachi Mishima as a free five-star character (remember when he was supposed to be dead?)
All these characters feature full voices and visual effects, just like the original series. You'll also be able to jump into a new Arcade Battle event dungeon inspired directly by Tekken 8's 1v1 mechanics, experience a Super Action Hero 2-themed minigame set and more running through until September 30th!

There's also a brand new developer commentary video (linked above), which offers some insight into how this collaboration came together behind the scenes. It's not surprising that fans are so excited for this, considering how popular Tekken is, and it's a good indicator of how widespread the reach of Summoners War is, too.Be sure to check out some of the collaboration events running until September 30th, with goodies on offer such as limited-time collab building and emojis, while a summoning event taking place until September 7th offers one scroll back when using 10 mystical scrolls (or summoning a collab character).
There are loads of great releases, collabs and updates ahead of the weekend. So if you're curious about something else to play once you've had a chance to get to grips with Summoner War's Tekken 8 collab, why not check out our Mutropolis review to see if it hits the mark?
