Summoners War Chronicles drops new trailer and will now have a play-to-earn mechanic

Summoners War Chronicles just dropped some exciting news about the upcoming MMORPG. Apart from a cool new teaser trailer, Com2uS' latest title in its popular fantasy franchise is also switching gears by adding blockchain technology to the game.

In particular, Summoners War Chronicles will join the play-to-earn bandwagon when it officially launches some time next year. Announced via an official Tweet from Com2uS USA, the play-to-earn format will allow players to enjoy the game as it is but with the opportunity to actually make money from the title.

For the uninitiated, Summoners War: Chronicles features three protagonists named Orbia, Kina, and Cleaf as players roam around dueling popular monsters from Sky Arena and Lost Centuria. Similar to Sky Arena, the game will feature Water, Fire, Wind, Light, and Dark elements for its monsters, with Runes that help boost monsters' stats.

To hype up the game even more, Com2uS also released a new cinematic trailer that, while it doesn't reveal much about the story, does give us a little sneak peek at the emotions involved in the narrative. I think I spotted what could be Zaiross the fire dragon or dungeon dragon boss, as well as fire ifrit Tesarion and wind panda Feng Yan. We also get a glimpse of what appears to be martial cat Miho and unawakened wind vagabond Roid.

If you're eager to learn more about Summoners War: Chronicles, you can head on over to the Com2uS official website for now to stay updated on all the latest developments. You can also take a little peek at the embedded teaser trailer above to get a feel of the upcoming title's vibes. Of course, you shouldn't miss using the Summoners War codes that will get you fantastic rewards.
