  • Ranked first in Steam's "Daily Active Demo Players"
  • 2D and 3D gameplay mechanics
  • Open Beta Testing coming soon

iDreamSky seems to have an upcoming blockbuster in its hands with Strinova, the studio's 5v5 tactical shooter with plenty of Zenless Zone Zero vibes. The anime-style third-person battler is, after all, now at the top of the charts when it comes to the "Daily Active Demo Players" leaderboard on Steam, so it's safe to say that people are properly hyped for it.

While Strinova doesn't reinvent the wheel when it comes to shooters with anime-inspired visuals, it does add something new to the table with the fact that it combines 2D and 3D within its actual mechanics. "Switch freely between three-dimensional and two-dimensional forms", the official description says, and it's exactly as it says on the tin.

Based on the teaser alone, you can clearly flatten yourself like paper against the wall and squeeze through narrow gaps to sneak up on your foes - a welcome strategy for when you're lurking rather than stepping out in the open with guns a-blazing. That alone makes it well worth a try, and with it being free-to-play, there's no reason anyone wouldn't want to give it a go when it launches.

That said, it's still under development and will have an Open Beta Testing (OBT) later this year, which likely won't be long now. You can take a peek at its official Steam page for more info, though.
