Fabled Game Studio, the minds behind the hit roguelike card battler Pirates Outlaws have just announced their next project, Spiritle, which is targeting a launch later this year. It is a turn-based strategy digital board game that can be played by up to four players at a time. The title will be available on both mobile and PC.

In Spiritle, players assume the role of a Spirit of one of four elements, Nature, Earth, Water, and Fire, as the four engage in a battle to regain their place in the World Tree. After choosing, players are given a ring and their skills, post which they can send characters to explore new lands on the board.

Pairing two identical lands grants the ability to attack others using the unique skillsets of that chosen Spirit. Spiritle also offers a variety of different game modes besides a Classic Battle, including a competitive matchmaking contest, seasonal co-op modes with 2v2 fights, and a custom mode to play alongside friends.

Speaking about the game, Nicholas Lavergne, Game Producer at Fabled Game Studio, said: “Spiritle incorporates core tabletop and experiences into a package that players can pick up and play with anyone. It’s as if chess, Catan and Mario Party gave birth to this charmingly strategic-yet-casual party game. We are so excited to share the game with players across the globe, with cross-platform support across PC and mobile it doesn’t matter where you are to play!”

We don’t have a concrete release date for Spiritle as of yet but expect it to launch in the next few months. More information can be found on the official website, or you could also follow the Facebook page to get in on all the latest developments and join a community of like-minded gamers.
