Kris Pix's SpellPix takes the Bronze Award-winning design of PathPix into territory with which I'm more familiar. That's right: letters and words.

PathPix was all about drawing lines in a grid to connect circles of the same colour. In SpellPix, you do the same... except you create words by filling in the letters between the circled first and last letters.

To complete a puzzle, you have to use all the letters in the grid. You'll also get a quip or quotation to think about before moving on to the next one.

SpellPix boasts ten chapters with 233 puzzles inside. As you might expect, the difficulty level ranges from easy to extreme. That should keep you busy for a while.

You'll be able to pick up SpellPix from the UK and US App Stores at midnight for £1.49 / $1.99.
