There's something a little uncomfortable about Space Chicks. This new game from Crescent Moon is all about saving a never-ending procession of helpless damsels who are stuck out in space.

Video game men have been rescuing video game women since Jumpman first saved his fling from a rampaging gorilla. But there's something about the sheer number of babes you must help that can make Space Chicks feel like gross misogynistic tripe.

If you can get beyond that, though, Space Chicks is a fun space-based platformer in which a one-tap auto-runner is mixed with the gravity wells of Angry Birds Space.

It's all about bouncing between planetoids while collecting coins and avoiding baddies.

Space Chicks is polished, fun, and even has same-device multiplayer for two. It'll be out at midnight on the UK and US App Stores, priced 69p / 99c.
