More casual web games on their way to mobile

I-play has signed a deal with Slingo to bring a number of the latter's casual web games to mobile. The Slingo website has more than 3.1 million registered users, and has been going for ten years.

Up first for a mobile conversion is Slingo Quest, which will come out later this year.

That screenshot above is a cropped shot from the web version, if you were wondering why it looks a little squashed. But you can expect the mobile game to look pretty similar.

Slingo Quest combines Bingo and Slots in a puzzle game, and the web version has been nominated for a prestigious Zeeby award, so it must be good.

No news yet on what other Slingo games will be published by I-play, although the juvenile schoolboy in us hopes Super Love Slots will make it sooner rather than later.

The deal isn't the first time Slingo has dipped its toes in the mobile waters, mind. In 2005, the company licensed out some of its games to publisher Kayak Interactive with the aim of creating an ambitious web-to-mobile games community.

Slingo's website does still have community features, including social networking and even dating, but I-play hasn't announced whether it'll be trying to bring those to mobile too.
