Snake clone gets smooth

When developer Nightirion contacted us regarding the iPhone game it's just submitted to Apple for approval, it asked not to dismiss Sleek as 'yet another' Snake clone.

After looking at the demo video on the official page, we're inclined to agree that it's every bit as newsworthy as any other iPhone game.

Sleek definitely adopts the retro gameplay of Snake, requiring you to guide a slithery serpent around screen, gathering up fruit and attempting not to bump into the sides or eat its own, ever-growing tail. But rather than going old-skool with the visuals and audio, Sleek attempts to craft the smoothest, most attractive and, well, sleekest version of the game thus far seen on the iPhone.

It also features a cool ambient soundtrack and full touchscreen controls, so we won't be dismissing Sleek on account of its well-played origins.

Due to appear on the App Store any time now, slide on past the 'Track It!' button for more Sleek news as it slithers in.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
