Run an Omote-inspired restaurant

Shiro's Kitchen Cruise is a charming cooking sim crafted by an actual restaurant with recipes based on IRL dishes, out now
  • Cook up a storm in the kitchen based on real-world dishes
  • Play mini-games outside of managing your restaurant
  • Serve customers or drive away troublemakers too

If you're looking to add a bit more realism to your average cooking sim, Omote has just the thing - Shiro's Kitchen Cruise.

This adorable new mobile offering was actually crafted in collaboration with real-world chefs and based on IRL recipes, so while you definitely won't see a chubby polar bear rebuilding a cruise ship kitchen and serving sea creatures on a daily basis, the realism comes in the from of the mechanics and operations of a real restaurant - the Singapore-based Omote restaurant, in particular.

In Shiro’s Kitchen Cruise, you'll aim to make sense of the culinary chaos as the titular bear. You'll not only try to cook up a storm in the kitchen, but you'll also have to make sure you decorate your restaurant as best as you can to attract customers and make your business thrive.

I mean, customer satisfaction is key, after all - but every so often, a troublemaker might just wander in, and it's up to you to drive them away before they affect your public rating. Nobody likes a rowdy killjoy!

To me, though, what makes this so appealing (apart from the charming visuals and the customer creatively named Lana Del Ray) is that you'll be serving the dishes inspired by the meals at the actual Omote restaurant in Singapore, which is a cool IRL connection you don't really see in cooking sims

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Shiro’s Kitchen Cruise on Google Play and on the App Store. It's free-to-play with in-app purchases.

You can also join the community of followers on the official Facebook page to stay updated on all the latest developments, or visit the official website for more info on the restaurant as well!
