Physics games are often delicate affairs in which you carefully construct intricate contraptions that balance and fall in the wind or some such.

Shell Shock is a physics game where you move your tank's gun, set the power of your shot and blow things up.

Described as a classic angle and shoot affair, your goal is to hit the various targets offered across the iPad's screen, using as little ammunition as possible.

OpenFeint leaderboards and achievements log just how good you are at working your way through the offered 20 levels. A further 30 levels planned in three updates are on the way too.

Shell Shock is out now, priced $1.99, €1.59 or £1.19. You can see how it plays in the following video.
