Avast!

- Sea of Remnants has unveiled a new gameplay showcase
- It offers us a glimpse of shore leave and the various NPCs you'll run into
- We've also got news on more features, such as island biomes and a detailed seascape to explore
Sea of Remnants, NetEase's upcoming pirate-themed ARPG, has caught our eye since it first debuted. Now, we've got a better sense of what to expect with the release of a new gameplay trailer titled Orbtopia Man, showing what your captain can get up to on shore leave in the world of Orbtopia!
Shore leave is, of course, an important part of any sailor's life, and Sea of Remnants is no exception. As the trailer showcases, you can look forward to meeting hundreds of NPCs, with plenty of activities to do, such as getting into fights, trying on new fashion or bettering your hard-earned booty.
Features also confirmed for Sea of Remnants include the turn-based RPG combat showcased in the trailer, alongside promises of a vibrant and detailed seascape to explore, packed with shipwrecks and diverse islands with their own biomes to make land on. That's not even getting started on the mythical creatures and hidden wonders you'll run into as well.

Off the starboard bow
I think more than anything, what the gameplay trailer shows is what it is likely to be Sea of Remnants' biggest strength. While a turn-based ARPG with an overworld to explore is by no means new on mobile, Sea of Remnants' intriguing toylike aesthetic and pirate setting manages to ride the line comfortably between stylish and cartoony, as well as having just the right amount of grit and salt you'd expect for pirates. You can pre-register your interest for Sea of Remnants over on the official website, and keep your eye on the horizon for when it releases in 2026!
