Savant - Ascent, D-Pad Studio's debut game, is being remastered to commemorate its 10-year anniversary

D-Pad Studio, the minds behind Owlboy began their journey back in 2013 with Savant – Ascent. The hit game is being remastered for PC, consoles, and mobile to celebrate its 10th anniversary. This summer, players will be able to enjoy the shoot-em-up platformer once again, through the Savant – Ascent Anniversary Edition which comes with new content, stages, bosses, powerups and a captivating original soundtrack.

In Savant – Ascent Anniversary Edition, players will once again step into the shoes of the Alchemist, who has been banished from his tower by a mysterious force. The goal is simple, to get back to the top, but the journey is anything but that. At any given time, players will have their movement limited to two platforms.

These platforms may be moving elevators or space debris, but there will only be two at a time. And it’s not just that because enemies will be around every corner, and must be taken out using magic missiles or by well-timed dashes and jumps. It is a perilous ascent and players will have to give it their all if they wish to survive.

Savant – Ascent’s remastered version of the game has only further improved on all these aspects. There are epic bosses specifically created for this edition to make it more challenging. Plus, enemy encounters have been significantly increased in the brand-new Survival Mode. Here, daunting bosses may just appear out of nowhere while in the Endless Elevator. Of course, the updated dashing abilities hope to make the journey a tad bit simpler.

The cherry on top of it all is the thrilling music, which has been created by the Norwegian musician, Savant himself. Hearing banger tracks one after the other will really solidify the entire experience. With new pieces and remixes of old ones, players are in for a ride.

Currently, Savant – Ascent Anniversary Edition can only be wishlisted on Steam, but Android and iOS pages should pop up soon.
