Small Beirut-based developer Game Cooks has just released an interesting iPhone game called Run For Peace, which takes place entirely in the Middle East.

Taking on the role of protagonist Salim, you have to spread peace across the Middle East by successfully running through a number of its countries, including Saudi Arabia and Algeria.

These countries are filled with obstacles and hazards - such as electric shocks, oil spills, bombs, missiles, and flying shish pipes - that have to be overcome en route to your goal. Each country you manage to pass through unharmed will light up a piece of the peace sign you're trying to complete.

Game Cooks has promised to donate five per cent of the money it makes from selling Run For Peace to UNESCO - a charity that focuses on ending human suffering in the Middle East and all over the world.

You can either grab the iPhone version right now for 69p / 99c, or wait until next Thursday and download it for your iPad.
