Mobile maze game gets motional

Tag Games bringing Rock 'n' Roll to iPhone

Scottish developer Tag Games has announced that it's bringing its critically-acclaimed mobile game Rock 'n' Roll to the iPhone this month.

The premise remains the same as the mobile version: you control Roll, a ball who has to, yes, roll his way through a series of mazes in order to save his mate Rock from prison.

Of course, this being the iPhone, the game is now controlled either by tilting the handset, or by using touchscreen controls. "The iPhone has enabled us to realise our original creative vision for this game," says creative director Jamie Bryan.

The iPhone version will have more than 30 mazes to roll through, split between three themes: coral reef, jungle, and mountain top. There'll be two game modes, and the game will feature its trademark rock 'n' roll soundtrack.

We loved the mobile version of Rock 'n' Roll, so are looking forward to its debut on the App Store later this month. Click 'Track It!' for an alert when we review it.

Tag Games, of course, is also working on Astro Ranch, its original iPhone game blending Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. There's no more news on that for the moment, but we hope to bring you an early-stage preview soon.
