Reign of Destiny, a brand new RPG that allows you to live the highs and lows of medieval royalty, launches on Android in Canada
A new simulation roleplaying game by the name of Reign of Destiny has launched onto Android for Canadian audiences, courtesy of developer FriendTime Inc. This unique period piece sees you step into the shoes of the final living member of a royal bloodline, where you must embark upon a quest to restore your family name’s former glory and become a legendary queen for the ages to remember.
Reign of Destiny sounds like it might be one of the many strategy base building RPGs out there, but it actually approaches the setting from a different angle, allowing you to truly simulate a royal medieval life, from finding suitors to fall in love with to strategically procreating with said suitors to produce a reliable offspring who will later take your place. By all accounts, the game’s descriptors sound a lot like something akin to the popular grand strategy series Crusader Kings, but a little less broad and more narrow in scope.
While Reign of Destiny is far more focused on the lifestyle side of things, there is a bit of strategic combat, as you’ll be training up your loyal knight force and enforcing them to the best of your abilities. These Knights can then be sent to the lands to recapture your lost lands and expand your influence.
Of course, with a kingdom comes a hefty degree of managing, which will also be covered within Reign of Destiny. You’ll have to adjust laws, take care of your provinces, and keep your citizens satisfied with your reign to remain in power, or else your bloodline becomes less powerful and less popular.
