A game of two versions

Real Football 2010 HD kicks off on the iPad

If a popular advert for a satellite channel is anything to go by, then life itself is better in HD.

Therefore, Real Football 2010 HD should, by extension, be superior to its non-HD iPhone cousin by default.

Gameloft hasn’t merely updated the graphics for this newest entry into the long-running football series, though. It’s also added a number of unique iPad control schemes, like titling for throw-ins, an improved D-pad, on-the-fly tactical changes, and the ability to touch-select the player you want to control.

As with the original game, RF10 HD comes with eight fully licensed leagues, 14 stadia, numerous multiplayer options, a manager mode entitled ‘Club Master’, and ‘Enter the Legend’ mode, in which you control one player’s destiny alone.

The iPad version is only slightly more expensive than the SD game, coming in at £3.99/$6.99, and is available now from the App Store.
