The role of content creators in gaming can be a bit of a complicated one. But the folks at PUBG Mobile are eager to bring more in and get the subsequent amount of eyeballs on one of the biggest mobile battle royales. The Next Star Global Creator Recruit Programme launches today, with a whopping $6 million prize pool to do just that!
What's it all about? Well, essentially, this programme is meant to incentivise coverage from content creators of PUBG Mobile. In return, there's that aforementioned $6 million prize pool and numerous in-game rewards up for grabs. Originally launching in 2021, the programme has already reportedly supported thousands of creators with over $3.5 million worth of support.
Most notably, the usual caveat of programmes such as this, including minimum follower requirements, is not the case with the Next Star programme. And this year marks the expansion to a global model, welcoming creators from MENA, Western Europe, North America, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Latin America and Africa.

Participants will gain access to the aforementioned exclusive in-game rewards, including special titles, beta access and official exposure. Meanwhile, opportunities to collaborate and showcase their creativity on the global stage will also be on offer.To join, creators don't need a minimum amount of followers, but will have to have published at least two PUBG Mobile videos in the last three months. There's also a Code of Conduct, region-specific requirements and other considerations. But in return, there are those aforementioned rewards, prize pool and official annual rewards to recognise top creators.
