Sony has announced plans to make PlayStation Network games available to the PSP in special packs containing three games each. The inaugural PSN Collection Pack will be puzzle based, coming to PAL territories this October.

Previouly these games were available as downloads only, and even then through a PS3 console. Now PSP owners who've not quite scraped together the wheelbarrow full of cash needed for the home console will at least be able to play some of the system's finer online titles.

The Puzzle Pack will consist of several brain busters, including the classic Lemmings, Go! Puzzle and Go! Sudoku. The series will then continue this year with the Power Pack (flOw, Syphon Filter: Combat Ops and Beats) with more packs becoming available in 2009.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
