Hurrah for bowling! It's the only sport, as far as we can make out, where you're absolutely brilliant the first time you play it, and then spend the rest of your life getting gradually worse.

Or is that just us?

Regardless, bowling has been a popular genre on mobile, suiting as it does one-thumb controls and simple gameplay. Hands-On's original Pro Bowling game attracted plenty of mobile bowlers, so it's now spawned a sequel called – wait for it – Pro Bowling 2.

There's 18 characters to play as, together with a new tournament mode that sees you working through the pro bowling ranks (yes, they do exist) from amateur to master.

You can play alone or against a friend, while the game provides tips as you go along, such as how to launch the perfect bowl, to get you into the swing of things.

Pro Bowling 2 is out soon, so click 'Track It!' for a turkey when we review it. Well, an email.
