Pokémon TCG Pocket's latest expansion, Wisdom of Sea and Sky, is out now, with a minor problem

- Pokémon TCG Pocket's Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion is out now
- It introduces new Pokémon from the Johto region, including legendary Pokémon like Lugia and Ho-Oh
- However, an issue with card art means certain versions of the two will only have placeholders for now
The Johto region is a fan-favourite one for Pokémon fans, having been first introduced in Gold and Silver, it was many lifelong enthusiasts' introduction to the series. Now, you'll be able to jump into a whole new expansion featuring famous Pokémon from the region with the latest TCG Pocket expansion, Wisdom of Sea and Sky!
Naturally, the headlining additions here are some well-loved Pokémon such as the starters Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile. But keep an eye out because legendary Pokémon such as Lugia and Ho-Oh are hanging around as well. Not only that, but this expansion is the first to introduce Pokémon cards that don't require energy to attack, marking a huge new avenue for strategic deck compositions.
But it's not all sunshine and roses in the Johto region, and there've been some hiccups behind the scenes that may leave some fans feeling cold. Namely, one of the least desirable, a plagiarism scandal.

Johto-no
Well, okay, that might be pushing it a bit. But according to the official Pokémon TCG Pocket Twitter account, an issue arose with artwork for the immersive artwork versions of Ho-Oh EX (3-Star) and Lugia EX (3-Star) that necessitated them being replaced with a placeholder for the time being. It sounds less like a copy-paste job and a little more like someone's fan art may've ended up being unintentionally used as reference material. Which, while still not exactly promising, is not quite as egregious. It's still a major trip-up for such a hotly anticipated expansion, and hopefully one which will be rectified soon.
