Pokémon TCG Pocket announces newest expansion with Wisdom of Sea and Sky
Includes new tweaks to trades and more

- Pokémon TCG Pocket is coming out with its latest expansion
- Wisdom of Sea and Sky arrives July 30th
- It includes Pokémon from the Johto region and changes to trading
Pokémon TCG Pocket may have had a bit of a break since its last expansion, but the wait is officially over as the newest major expansion, Wisdom of Sea and Sky, is set to arrive on July 30th. It includes not only the debut of major new Pokémon, but also a few other pertinent changes to key features.
Wisdom of Sea and Sky mainly focuses on Pokémon found in the Johto region that you'll know and love from Pokémon Gold & Silver. This includes fan-favourites such as starters, Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile, not to mention the legendary Pokémon Lugia and Ho-Oh.
One of the biggest changes here is Pokémon being introduced, which don't require energy to use their attacks, letting you test out various new strategies for decks. But that's not all, as there are also major changes coming to the trading feature that you can look forward to.

Between the sea and the sky
Going live at the same time as the expansion, those of you playing TCG Pocket can now benefit from the new Wishlist feature and various other revisions to trade previously announced. Wishlisting lets you share which cards you're looking to trade for. Add them via the My Cards screen and pick up to 20, highlighting up to three to display on your profile.Trade Tokens, meanwhile, are set to be discontinued and will no longer be needed for exchanging cards. However, you will still need to use Shinedust for certain rarities of cards, which you can obtain by completing missions, achievements or when you obtain duplicates of cards. You'll be able to exchange any trade tokens you still have in the shop, and you'll want to get that done before the 30th, when they become inactive.
Phew, well, those are certainly some big changes. And if you've got a card-gaming scratch that still needs itching, then you can always supplement it with our lists of the best card battlers for iOS and the best card games for Android!
