Point Blank Adventures revives the classic light gun shooter, out worldwide on iOS and Android now
Point and shoot
Bandai Namco has brought about the revival of its classic light gun game with Point Blank Adventures out now on iOS and Android.
We caught this one while it was in soft-launch last year. As we noted back then, this is a free to play version of the shooting gallery game.
As with the original 1994 game, it gives you bite-sized arcade levels in which you shoot up targets in various lighthearted scenes.
Unlike the original, though, you have to tap the screen rather than using a plastic gun.
At least Dr Don and Dr Dan from the original games are back. You're helping them to find treasures across 10 hand-drawn worlds, including oceans, outer space, and the wild west.
In total, there are over 250 challenges and 100 levels to beast with your sharpshooting skills. But, if you're not that good, there are boosters you can use to make targets easier to hit.
You can also compete against friends in the highscores charts and through Facebook.
You can download Point Blank Adventures for free on the App Store and Google Play for free right now.
