New company pitches in with world's first ad-supported free mobile content service

The Gizmondo may have gone (gawd bless her) but one of its key ideas looks set to live on via Pitch, a new UK service offering free mobile content in exchange for adverts.
The basic 'pitch' is that you get access to a range of ringtones, games and graphics in exchange for personal profile data and consent to receive mobile advertising.
At present there's not a whole lot to get your hands on apart from Super Doku – and it's critical that quality as well as quantity is high if the system is to be truly successful – but the software is still in beta stage, so we'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now.
The site's creators are certainly confident of success, citing research that over half the adult population is receptive to advertising messages on their phones, provided it's relevant.
Whilst we're less than convinced about those stats, we are certain that the British public are open to a good deal, and the fact that you can opt out at any time suggests this could be an ideal opportunity to sample mobile content. To take advantage, text "Pitch" to 87000.
