The very best new game trailers from the Tokyo Game Show

Japanese game overload! The Tokyo Game Show is now in full swing, giving local devs the chance to put Japan back on the video gaming map.

And alongside all of the game announcements and playable show demos comes a whole raft of game trailers. Naturally.

Japanese game trailers are usually slightly different from European or American ones, mind, in that they're a couple of minutes longer than Western trails and, well, they're filled to the brim with Japanese dialogue. Obviously.

We've had a rummage through all of the new promo videos and picked out the ones you definitely need to devote your time to - after all, who has the time to sit and watch every game trailer that comes out of the show?

So, sit back and enjoy all the gaming goodness that we'll no doubt be seeing many months after the Japanese do.

Actually, when we said we couldn't be more excited, we were lying - Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is easily the most exciting 3DS game in the pipeline. The potential behind this Layton / Wright mash-up is indescribable, so we're itching to give it a go.

Of course, Prof Layton has his own new 3DS trailer, as well. The footage in the video above has us really believing that this new title will be something gorgeous, with its animated puzzles and fully interactive environments.

This one is a bit special, too - the epic Monster Hunter RPG series gets another instalment, and the 3DS will no doubt get a huge spike in sales come launch time. The trailer shows off some pretty intense battles, the likes of which we never thought possible on the 3DS hardware.

And now to end on, perhaps, the weakest trailer of the bunch. Rockman Xover is a Mega Man spin-off in the works for iOS, and, well, it doesn't look great. Ten seconds of gameplay footage in a minute-long trailer? Shocking.
