Petit Planet, MiHoYo's upcoming cosy life-sim, announces its latest closed beta this month
  • Petit Planet's latest closed beta is coming with the Stardrift test
  • Sign-ups are now open with a planned launch on April 21st
  • This test features new Starsea Voyages and other debut mechanics

The life-sim genre is one which it seems everyone is dabbling in nowadays. Not least MiHoYo, the folks best known for their ARPGs such as Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail. It's their upcoming life-sim Petit Planet that's on the docket today, with its new Stardrift test launching on April 21st!

If you're not already familiar, Petit Planet is, as it says on the tin. You play a 'Planet Tender' with their own small planetoid to take care of. Essentially, it functions like your island in Animal Crossing, only with a slightly more fantastical flair.

But, at its core, Petit Planet offers all the same calm, peaceful activities you'd expect from a life-sim, where you build your own humble home, cook, farm and fish. But you'll also be able to do more out-there things, such as exploring the Starsea or even visiting the grand Galactic Bazaar.

Lost Planet

Those of you who've been eagerly awaiting Petit Planet will already notice some new additions mentioned above, with that of the Galactic Bazaar and Starsea Voyage, with the latter allowing you to explore small islets in space, while the Bazaar provides a homely hub to spend time with friends.

This latest test also promises to introduce new neighbours for you to meet, alongside a slew of other additions to Petit Planet. You'll even be able to invite brand-new fuzzy pets to join you on your planet! All in all, if you've been curious about Petit Planet, you'll definitely want to try and get in on this upcoming test.
