Anticipated cloud-based gaming service OnLive has finally arrived on UK soil, giving you access to a range of titles through your PC, Mac, and newly released micro-console.

You can sign up to the service completely free of charge and take advantage of its social features and playable demos.

From there, you can either purchase any of the service's games outright for between £1.99 and £39.99 (your first game will cost just £1 for a limited time), or sign-up to the PlayPack Bundle.

This bundle gives you access to an ever-expanding catalogue of 100+ games, such as Homefront, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Fear 3, and Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, all for £6.99 a month.

And if you're a BT Broadband customer you'll get a free three-month PlayPack Bundle subscription.

Going mobile

OnLive's CEO Steve Perlman has previously stated that games are actively being adapted for touchscreens, such as Android tabs and Apple's iPad.

We've emailed OnLive for more details of a mobile release and pricing, but we don't expect the latter to change too much.

Pocket Gamer was hands-off with OnLive at this year's Gamescom event, so check out the service in action.
