Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is currently making waves on Apple Arcade as one of the subscription service’s killer exclusives, but hopes for a multi-platform release are not yet lost at sea.

Developer Cornfox and Bros is adamant that it has “no plans” to bring the hack-n-slash sequel to Android, though the studio admits things could change in the future.

“We have no plans for Android as of now. An Android version was never announced or confirmed by us. That said, things might change in the future,” the firm said in a statement.

Whether Oceanhorn 2 will ever set sail in Android waters is a question worth asking. After all, the original Oceanhorn began life as an iOS exclusive in 2013 before being announced for other platforms, including Android, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Switch.

Publisher FDG Entertainment was similarly non-committal about the possibility of porting the first Oceanhorn to Android back then, so the absence of any firm plans for a Google Play debut is no indication that the Zelda-esque sequel will never find its way to other platforms.

As things stand, though, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is only available through Apple Arcade, which launched in the UK on September 19, priced at £4.99 per month.
