O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: July 4th

This week's new release list is peppered with games that are bound to divide people like Marmite. There is cricket with Michael Vaughan 08 and a spot of angling fun with Bass Fishing Mania, both of which tend to be love/hate it pursuits.

Then there's South Park Imaginationland, a game based on a franchise that is almost certainly an acquired taste. That's followed closely by the mobile game of the film, Hancock, which is a super hero film starring Will Smith – again a dream come true to some, insufferable and poisonous to others.

The last pair of newies, Einstein's Brain Game and Get Cookin', don't really fit with our analogy. In fact, if anything, being casual titles, both games are well suited to a pretty broad audience so hopefully that means there is something for everyone this week.

As for the charts, there has been a royal rumble of a shake up. Though Bejeweled is still sitting pretty in the top spot, Guitar Hero III Mobile and Space Invaders' combined arrival has really put the cat amongst the pigeons so to speak. In fact, the usually tenacious Monopoly Here & Now and Monopoly Tycoon have both been ousted from the chart completely.

And that's not all. Jewel Quest II is back from the dead and Brain Challenge, a game that has enjoyed an almost record-breaking run in the charts, is nowhere to be seen. You don't need us to tell you that everything else has had a bit of a reordering session – read on for all the gory details.
