Novel Rogue opens pre-registration for the roguelite card-based JRPG on Android
What magic do the four tomes hold?

- Discover enchanted tomes with different combat systems
- Lovely pixel-art visuals
- Customisable deck across turn-based battles
Kemco has opened pre-registration sign-ups for Novel Rogue, the studio's latest card-based JRPG on Android and Steam. This lovely pixel-art adventure will have you waving your wand to weave magic as a young apprentice under the Witch of Portals. As you discover more about the magical world around you, you'll also uncover enchanted tomes in the Ancient Library - and each one has plenty of adventures in store for you.
In Novel Rogue, you can look forward to building your deck across turn-based combat, with unexpected roguelite elements that spice up the gameplay as you go along.
The four tomes offer four systems as well, so it's up to you to strategise how you can customise your deck to unleash powerful magic that suits your playstyle best. The pixel-art visuals add a nostalgic charm to it all too.

Now, typical of similar RPGs under Kemco, there's a freemium version and a premium version to choose from. The latter can be played for free with ads that you can remove with a single purchase, while the latter includes 150 bonus Witch Stones on top of being ad-free. Pick your poison, as your data can't be transferred from one version to the other.
It's an interesting monetisation model that seems to work well for Kemco, but in the meantime, are you on the hunt for similar journeys to embark on? Why not take a look at our list of the best JRPGs on Android to get your fill while you wait?
At the moment, you can pre-register for Novel Rogue on Google Play to get first dibs as soon as it's launched. You can also join the community of followers on the official Facebook page to stay updated on all the latest developments, or visit the official website for more info.
