Northgard has finally released the Clan of the Squirrels DLC
It may be the year of the rabbit in 2023 but the squirrel will be at the forefront in Playdigious’ mobile RPG Northgard. The developers had announced that they would be launching the Clan of the Squirrel DLC on January 31st and that day has finally come. Players can expect to come across a new set of individuals with unique abilities and a few other items as well.
Northgard’s Clan of the Squirrel has been based on Ratatoskr from Norse mythology, who was a squirrel that would carry information between the eagles and the world serpent located at the top and bottom of Yggdrasil, the world tree.
The members of this clan excel at resource management and are outstanding cooks. Their meals in addition to being tasty are highly nutritious and provide a number of benefits such as improvements to various abilities. They don’t have a brewery, but rather, a Stove with which all these meals are prepared.
The clan’s war chief, or more aptly, the “warchef” is Andhrimnir, an authoritarian in the battlefield as well as the kitchen. This group of warriors has their own unique victory conditions and offers multiple bonuses such as increased Krowns income by 10% and reduced reviving cooldown by 50%.
It would be foolishness to try to mess with members of the Squirrel Clan for they may look like friendly people but are actually master manipulators just like their witty totem Ratatoskr. Don’t forget to make use of the new relic called Yggdrasil’s root as well, which creates an Eldritch Zone with production bonuses.
