With Kid Icarus: Uprising the best selling game in Japan, 3DS rules the hardware chart
While PSP outsells PS Vita 2-to-1

Thanks to the highly anticipated release of Kid Icarus: Uprising, 3DS system sales rose to 94,011 units for the period 12-18 March.
These sales figures made 3DS the most popular console in Japan - handheld or otherwise - for the week.
They dwarf the anemic sales of Japanese sales for PS Vita, which were a disappointing 10,000 units. It seems likely remain around that level given the lack of major announced releases.
The PSP, by contrast, sold 20,000.
Flying highIt was also no surprise that Kid Icarus: Uprising was the highest selling game in Japan for the week, easily beating out PlayStation 3 titles such as Ninja Gaiden 3 and Devil May Cry HD.
Throughout the 3DS' lifecycle, detractors have criticised Nintendo for relying on existing intellectual properties and 3D remakes to bolsters interest in its handheld.
This criticism isn't without merit as the ten most purchased 3DS games to-date fall into this category. Thanks to this week's sales figures, though, Nintendo is no doubt happy with the situation.
