Vodafone UK offering Xperia Play for free on 2 year £35 a month contract

Vodafone has raced out of the gate with its price for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, and it’s not looking too shabby - until you calculate the total amount the monthly contract will come to over the given months, of course.
The handset will be made available for free on the two-year, £35 a month contract, which effectively prices the handset at £840 (or £420 a year).
Those willing to stump up some cash upfront can opt for the two-year £25 a month variant and £199 cold hard cash. That’s £799 in total for those keeping score.
All plans bar the cheapest come with unlimited texts, and at least half a gig of data usage a month.
