A little later than we anticipated, French publisher Ubisoft has just released a free companion app for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier - the explosion-filled third-person shooter that recently shot its way onto the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

The Ghost Recon Network app allows you to try out all 40 pre-order and unlock weapons from the console game, customise them - right down to their inner parts - and sync them with your console or PC. You can even show them off in the app's GunSmith Gallery.

Ghost Recon Network will also track your multiplayer stats and allow you to manage your squad of killers on the move. Furthermore, you can spend the six attachment credits you're awarded for simply downloading this app in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Ubisoft plans to periodically update this app with new content and features, including post-level 20 weapons and the ability to gain access to your in-game Ghost Feed.

Ghost Recon Network is available as a Universal app for free, so go and grab it.
