TIGA mobile and handheld award finalists announced
Who will be a winner? Place your bets now

It seems like everyone's doing their awards today. First it was the Global Mobile Awards 2008, then the Golden Raspberries and now it's the turn of TIGA (the trade association representing game developers in the UK and Europe), which has announced the finalists for its upcoming annual awards ceremony.
The finalists were nominated by TIGA members and judged by their peers.
Various categories are included but of most interest to us (of course) are the handheld and mobile game categories in which the following have been deemed the worthiest of an award:
Best Handheld/Console Game developed by a TIGA member:
Geometry Wars: Galaxies - DS (Kuju)
Crush - PSP (Zoe Mode/Kuju)
Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Sqaudron - PSP (Rebellion)
Best Mobile Game developed by a TIGA member:
Championship Manager 2008 (Dynamo Games)
Sonic Jump (Airplay)
Tomb Raider Anniversary (Finblade)
Geometry Wars: Galaxies is also up for the Best PC/Console Game award.
Personally, we'd say Crush and Championship Manager 2008 are our winners from those lists, but we'll find out if the people who know even more than us about games agree when the awards are held and winners announced on January 30th at the Haymarket Hotel in London.
