Nintendo is really focusing on digital content for its Wii U console at the moment, which means that the Nintendo 3DS has been left behind somewhat.

There are still a few new bits and pieces for you to check out in the 3DS eShop this week, but don't get your hopes up too much.

Let's sift through what there is, then, and see if we can strike gold.

European eShop releases

Picross e2 is the sequel to Picross e, which I reviewed last year and thought was sort of "eh".

A new mode called "Micross" may well breathe new life into the series, though. I'll have a review of this follow-up for you on PG next week. The game costs £4.49, incidentally.

35 Junior Games, meanwhile, is - as the name might suggest - a collection of games. We're talking classics like Tic-Tac-Toe, Solitaire, Chess, Air Hockey, Darts, Pong...

These sorts of collections are usually very hit and miss, so it might be best to wait for our review next week before you shell out £4.49 for it.

If you're a New Style Boutique player, you might like to know that there's a free update out for it this week.

Nintendo hasn't revealed what the update actually contains, so you'll just have to grab the new firmware and see what happens. Aren't surprises fun?

US eShop releases

The maker of Cocoto Alien Brick Breaker reckons its game represents a revival of the brick breaker genre. It looks pretty bright, sure. $4.99 is the asking price for this bad boy.

More interestingly, perhaps, Konami classic Super C is now available for the Virtual Console. It's the sequel to the even-more classic run 'n' gunner Contra, and it'll cost you $4.99.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars was one of the launch titles for the 3DS back in 2011, and it's now available as a digital download. Which is nice if you missed it first time around. To be honest, though, you can easily find it for a dirt-cheap price at retail.

There's also a demo of Brain Age: Concentration Training available on the eShop now. Focus. Focus. Focus. Stop slacking.

That's your lot, friends. See you next week. Same channel. Different games.
