This week on the 3DS eShop: Nothing to see here
|
3DS

This week is pretty rubbish on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. And I am contractually obliged to tell you all about it.

We strive for professionalism at Pocket Gamer, but if you read between the lines you may be able to detect traces of the following mental states: dismay, indignation, frustration, disappointment, boredom, and - in a couple of places - mild relief.

Ready? Let's get cracking!

European eShop releases

Jewel Quest 4 Heritage is a match-three game for a whopping £10.79, while Bike Rider DX is a side-scrolling jump 'n' ride game for £4.99.

Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D is a £4.49 sequel to the very average Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D, and Sudoku by Nikoli is, well, a Sudoku game. For £4.49.

Secret Mysteries in London is a hidden object game for £10.79, while Barbie Groom and Glam Pups costs £24.99. I refuse to describe the latter. I warned you this week was bad.

The Virtual Console spits up Summer Carnival ’92 RECCA for £4.49, and Star Soldier for £4.49. There's a demo for Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan.

Oh, and there's some New Super Mario Bros 2 DLC on sale. Each pack has around a quid off the full price until the end of August. So that's sort of a light at the end of the eShop tunnel for this week.

US eShop releases

The US store isn't looking much better. Sorry.

My Western Horse 3D is a showjumping game for $29.99. You guys also get the aforementioned Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D for $4.99.

I'm going to refrain from describing Barbie: Glam and Groom Pups once again (it costs $29.99). Meanwhile, the 10-in-1: Arcade Collection doesn't look too bad, but also doesn't look that great. It costs $2.99.

Finally, there's the original Donkey Kong for $4.99. That just sort of wraps up the week rather well, doesn't it? The most exciting thing this week is a game from the '80s.

Let's hope next week is better.
