Sony unveils new-look PlayStation Store
First images of the shiny redesign, to be unleashed next Tuesday
From April 15th (that's next Tuesday) the PlayStation Store will look a bit different than you're used to, thanks to a bit of a revamp.
Sony announced the redesign a while back and today it's shown off the fruits of its labour in the form of a few screenshots of the new PlayStation Store.
Navigation will be improved, as will functionality – which are both areas criticised by users in a survey Sony conducted last year. On the navigation side, greater scope for categorisation and a new user interface is promised.
To accompany the launch, Sony is promising… well, nothing much if you're not using it from a PS3 perspective and can't be bothered with Grand Theft Auto IV trailers and Metal Gear Online Premiere betas.
Still, it looks a bit prettier and it will hopefully be a little more intuitive to use. Oh, Sony also promises it won't affect PlayStation Network accounts or its virtual wallet system, either. We should hope so, too.
