Sony officially unveils 2 Android PlayStation-certified tablets - the S1 and S2
Station to station

Looks like the Xperia Play won’t be the only PlayStation-certified device for long.
Sony has used an announcement in Japan to reveal two new tablet PCs that will both bear the same honour - the S1 and S2.
The two Android Honeycomb tablets have been rumoured for some time now, and both bear an uncanny resemblance to said rumours, with the 9.4-inch S1 coming in a traditional ‘iPad beater’ form, while the S2 has a foldable clam-shell design.
Despite the differences in shape, the tablets are similar under the hood, with a Tegra 2 dual-core CPU at an undisclosed clock-speed (probably 1GHz) powering operations from within.
More importantly for gamers, the two devices are the first from Sony itself (rather than Sony Ericsson) to officially support the company’s own PlayStation re-releases, although, unlike the Xperia Play, none of the two devices has a physical controller attached.
The two tablets are expected to arrive some time this autumn, with some reports placing a US release as close as summer.
The prices are rumoured to be around $599-$699, which, according to current exchange rates, roughly translates as £362-£423.
