We're unlikely to see it though

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan today announced the arrival of a mint green PSP. The console will retail at the price of 19,800 yen (around £92) and is due on Japanese shop shelves on February 28th.

The shiny new colour is part of the Blume series designed to appeal to female gamers. The mint green will join the existing pink, lilac and pale blue colours.

Japan enjoys PSP colours and console bundles not available here in the UK or the US, and the console continues to sell well despite the strong competition from Nintendo's DS. During the PSP Slim & Light's launch week for example, the console outsold DS by over 15,000 units.

Sadly - as with the rest of the pastel Blume series - it seems unlikely we'll ever see the release of the mint green colour here. Which is a shame because we'd take it over the garish pink one any day.
