Could this be the PlayStation Phone’s gaming platform?

The internet is divided over whether yesterday’s PlayStation Phone 'reveal' was the genuine article or not. Now, a new piece of “circumstantial evidence” has come forward in support of the leak.

According to one Engadget tipster, the “Z-System” referenced at the top left of the prototype system’s screen relates to a recently filed Sony Ericsson trademark.

That Z-System patent reads as follows:

“Software for use in developing, executing, and running or interacting with the same or other software on mobile phones; software for interacting or playing with electronic or video games; computer software development tools not for developing software for servers or computers; computer software for electronic or video game development”

Sony Ericsson has also registered z-system.com as a domain name.

All of which suggests that Z-System is the PlayStation Phone’s dedicated games platform. It also makes those iffy prototype pictures look a whole lot more convincing.
