Sony Ericsson finally goes high mobile tech with PS3 compatibility
|

Sony Ericsson has been through some tough times lately, after it missed the boat on the smartphone explosion that began with the iPhone. Rumours have been prolific about the outside possibility of a PSP phone, and it seems the mobile partnership might finally be making a move toward combining its brands.

The new Aino touchscreen handset features an impressive array of wireless PC connectivity, allowing you to transfer and organise your music, videos, photos and podcasts.

Even better is its ability to connect to and control a PS3 console. The Aino allows you to access the Sony console's media content using the Remote Play function, while European users can watch, record and pause live TV through PlayTV either via local wi-fi or the internet.

“Media Home and Remote Play with PlayStation 3 are key steps in broadening the entertainment experiences users can enjoy on their Sony Ericsson phone and gives a taste of our vision of the future,” says SE's market business manager Alexandre Cardon.

On top of all this, the Aino packs in some top spec mobile features, such as a three inch touchscreen, 8.1 megapixel camera, high speed data, Bluetooth and wi-fi, GPS and a bucket load of of other high end technical gubbins. Nice.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
