Samsung S8000 to be Android powered
Samsung cubed
Pretty much every handset manufacturer has promised it’s releasing an Android device ‘in the near future’, though none has yet materialised. Samsung is one such company, promising us three Google OS phones.
Russian website Euroset.ru has inadvertently given away the details on Sammy’s first, however, the S8000. A pre-order listing went up, detailing the sexy slim handset’s sweet features, including a 5MP camera with LED Flash, 3.1 Inch AMOLED display, WVGA resolution, 16 million colours, FM Radio with RDS, 2GB internal memory, MicroSD slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, wifi, GPS (with A-GPS), Bluetooth 2.1 and USB.
That’s a lot of tasty silicon packed inside such a sleek device, and the cube-shaped button on the front also suggests Samsung’s anticipated 3D user interface might well be integrated into its Android operating system.
The listing’s been taken down now, but hopefully this little beaut’s going to be along in June, and was originally posted at an almost affordable €470 (£414 in real money).
We thought you might like it.
