Sally's Spa and Words With Friends on extended Mother's Day sale

iOS developers have gone Mother's Day mental, slashing the prices of their App Store wares in honour of gaming moms worldwide.

Following the lead of Big Fish Games, which reduced its entire iOS catalogue by up to 90% over the weekend, Games Café and Newtoy have cut Sally's Spa and Words With Friends to just 59p / 99c / €0.79.

The pair earned Pocket Gamer Bronze Awards upon their release in 2009.

The former is a highly enjoyable salon-management game, while the Scrabble-beating latter was voted the #1 Favourite App by iOS users the same year.

Both games are available on iPad, too. The HD version of Sally's Spa will set you back £1.79 / $2.99 / €2.39, but owners of Apple's tablet won't have to pay a penny extra for Words With Friends HD.

Newtoy's game will be available at the reduced price through Monday, but we don't know how long the Sally's Spa offer will last, so fans of the series are advised to grab it while they can from the links below.
